Descriptive Essay About My Home

Descriptive essay about my new house.

I looked back at my house, the green peeling paint on the door, the ripped screen door, the huge window at the top of the house, from which you could see into my room, and I only had one thought, this is no longer my home.

Describing My Childhood Home

Like all homes, my home contains a kitchen. The kitchen represents fond memories of my mom

Descriptive Essay On My New House

It was 1973. No just kidding. It is 2017 At my old house, there was a playground in my backyard. We made it all by our selves, from scratch. We had to leave it at the house because of two things, the buyers wanted it and it wouldn't fit in the moving truck. Also at my old house we had 3 rooms, and my mom and dad had to sleep in the garage. The house was a simple house. It has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a living room, a dining room, a kitchen, and a garage, that doesn't open but it. Still works as a bedroom.

Linda Bennett once said “Our homes represent more than our financial assets; they have a deep and unique emotional meaning. Our earliest memories of home are often connected to our childhood.” To me home is where my family is, it’s where I was raised. No matter how far away you move from your home, it will always mean as much to you now as it did back then. Everyone’s home is the building block of the foundation of their future development as a person.

What Makes You Me?

Whenever I was there I always felt so loved and safe and happy. I was content spending all my time in the pool room. It was a large room that added on to the house. It had a large pool table in the middle of the room. In the right corner was a small bar and a small fridge and TV on the wall. On the other side of the room there were book shelves, stacked with my grandfather’s toys and models. He would have the most random things on the shelf. From toy trucks to model ships to old pictures. I loved that pool room so much I didn 't even sleep in my room but would sleep on the red velvet couch next to the wall, facing the TV. The best part of the room is the view looking into the backyard and the pool. Having a view of the water always made me happy and content.

Descriptive Essay: My Room

My room’s door is painted with Brown Color. It has some scratches at the bottom because of my little brother drawing and scraping it with his pencil colors and also. My German Shepard taps on the door when he wants to hang out with me. I have a poster in my room that is filled with memorable memories of me with my family. That poster is hanged on a wall with a nice frame, colored in brown that matches the color of the dressing mirror in my room. My room is painted with crystal white paint.

Descriptive Essay About Home

The grass, still soft and bright green in the late summer, rolls with grace. Its hue compliments the blue sky perfectly. Fluffy clouds string the distant horizon like the lace on the hem of my dress as the sky fades with a single stroke of a brush to deep blue. A night blue that is so deep and never ending that the ocean itself would be jealous. A soft breeze flutters between my dark amber hair as my pale blue dress skips around my knees. Another perfect day in this perfect life. Many live a life like mine…most, in fact. No problems, no troubles. We have lived this way, well...um...forever.

My definition for home is indescribable by word or by a simple thought, but home is rather of a feeling. Home is the calmness and serenity that settles over me like a blanket on a cold, snowy night, just a silent assurance telling me I belong there. It took me quite a bit of time to understand where exactly that place is, and I didn’t know that the answer was always right in front of me. This feeling would come and go, and I would never recognize it because I knew that only the house I lived in was my home. Home is in fact more than what the words in the dictionary say.

Descriptive Essay : Where Was Home

These views created a symphony of colours, from its calm blues, greys, and whites its striking yellows, greens, and oranges. The scene felt as if it was painted with God’s own hand, and seemed to lull my car-sick self into a trance. I woke up in front of a petite house, but the immediate recognition of it hit me with a wave of emotions. Homesick. Esthatic. Love. However, what feeling prominently stood above all holding its hand out, at last, welcoming me into its warm embrace, was that feeling of home.

A Descriptive Essay About Home

Home is a place you’re always welcomed, a place where you know even when you mess up the people there still love you. Home is the place where you don’t have to wear a mask for anyone you can just be yourself always, or at least that’s what home was for me.

Home is a place where the good and the bad memories happen. Home is where the comfortable side comes out. Only problem is how does home define a person’s character? My favorite place to visit is my grandmother’s and grandfather’s house in Alabama, because it reminds me of my childhood, shows me how far in life I have gotten, and provides a sense of comfort.

It was 1973. No just kidding. It is 2017 I have just moved into a new house. At my old house, there was a playground in my backyard. We made it all by ourselves, from scratch.

Descriptive Essay About My House

As I am walking home from school I take the time to look around my surroundings. Leaves a variety of reds, oranges and yellows descend from the trees and encase the ground like a blanket. The wind begins to pick up, building miniature vortexes with the leaves and dropping them off to their new locations. There is not much to Stowe, Vermont: a couple of convenience stores, a few diners scattered, parks and widely spaces houses that stretch down for a few miles. Extravagant would not be the leading word to describe this town, but I love it nonetheless.

Descriptive Essay About Living In The House

I lived in a house on Veteran’s Boulevard for the first two years of my life. It was there that I learned to walk and talk. Living in the house was entirely uneventful.

My New House Essay

As soon as I walked into the front doors of my new house I knew this wasn't my old house. It was like walking into my grandma's house which was like a thousand years old. I definitely liked my old house better. Speaking of my old house, it was like my dream house. It was like I was in my very own world and I had the freedom to do whatever I wanted on that farmland back in Tennessee. Now this stinky dump in Cleveland is nothing like our city in Tennessee. I walked up the old creaky stairs and at the top to the right was my room. As soon as I walked into my room I could not say a word, it was the ugliest room ever, but I knew I had to make it work. Oh I miss those days back at our farm in Tennessee. At home I was always stressed because of school but at the farm it gave me something to do and to take my mind off school. The farm was so fun I got to do whatever I wanted to do,like run throw the corn mazes, take care of the chickens, make sure all the plants had water, play with the gotes, ride horses, there was so many things to do at the farm that you could never get bored. My favorite thing to do was plant different types of vegetables and fruit and watch the plants grow. I truly missed the farm, and all I could think about was the farm and how much fun I had there and how I lived there my whole childhood.

Show More Your house is something that you don’t think about a lot, until you have to leave it. A house filled with memories that you will never forget. Everything happened there since you moved in, young or old.I’ve lived in my old house since I was 18 months old, but had to move out around the age of 15. I loved that house from the scenery of the front yard to the enormous backyard. All the rooms on the inside had memories that I will never forget. I still remember which room was my favorite room to be in and had the best memories about. I’ve had up and downs in this house, but it will forever be my favorite house to live in. My mom planted gorgeous flowers …show more content… It was a three story house, with a used bedroom on each floor. I lived on the middle floor, while my brother lived in the basement and my mom lived upstairs. The basement was huge with two different sides to it. The other side of the basement was my brother’s room, that use to be the playroom when we first moved in and soon later my sister’s room. It was such a huge room, filled with all of our movies and held my brother’s bed, desk, and couch. My mom’s tanning bed use to live in the basement too, before it was moved into the sun room. The floor I lived on contained two bedrooms, one bathroom, a kitchen, dining room, two small hallways, a small linnet closet, and a backroom to keep our dogs in. My room was the biggest bedroom on the floor and i’m glad that my brother moved into the basement so I could move into it. It was a struggle when my sister got kicked out and my dad moving out. I was sad for awhile, but it started to feel normal and then my brother finally moved out. When it was just my mom and I, we were kinda freaked out living in such a big house by ourselves with all the different activities that has happen throughout the years. One day my mom and dad were just watching a movie in the living room and all of a sudden my sister’s school picture was thrown across the room. Another was when I was younger, around the age of two, my sister and brother kept telling my mom that they see a little girl around the house, but my mom never really believed them until one day we were all eating and I suddenly

Essay 2 (400 Words) - Speciality of My House

It is usually said that food, clothing, and house are three essential commodities for any person. Usually, we observe that every person struggles for attaining these three aspects and later on fulfills other desires. If we have a house to live, brings a feeling of complete satisfaction to our minds.

Description of My House

My house has been constructed in my village area. It happened that during my father’s service we had been living in an apartment provided by the government. But after the service period was over, my parents decided to move to our village to reside there only, as it is a peaceful place. We already had our house in my village.

Attributes - We have five rooms, a kitchen, a washroom, and a big veranda. We also have a small hut there. During summers it proves to be the best dwelling place. The size of the house is larger as compared to the houses in cities. My house is surrounded by lush green fields. It provided us with a sense of beauty. There is a very low pollution level in the village as compared to the city. In spite of having my house in the village, it is equipped with each and every facility. People in villages are of very helping nature.

My house is like a mini-mansion when observed from outside. We managed for maintenance and whitewashing our house every year during Diwali. My family made my house a home for me. It includes my mother, father, two brothers and me. During festivals, all the members of our family reunite and celebrate. There are many of the special memories which we have in our house.

Utilization of Space outside My House

As my house is constructed on our own field; so, there is much vacant space in front of our house. My father used this space for gardening and making small shelter spaces for animals like cows and dogs. A little construction work was also required for the same. We arranged food and water for animals and birds over there. These activities and my family made my house a most adorable place to live. This area is one of my favorite portions of the whole house.

House is a beautiful creation of our parents for us. I love my house as it gives the feeling of safety and liveliness. Family member’s love and affection make our house sweet home.

Essay 3 (500 - 600 Words) - My Dream House

Houses are the structures built by human beings for dwelling. There are different kinds of houses constructed according to the climatic conditions and availability of space. Houses can be apartments, single-family houses, bungalows, cabins, etc. It depends upon the needs and financial availability of people.

Concept of House

The need for shelter has been observed from an early age. The early men used to live in caves for shelter and protection. Since life was unorganized and non-systematic during that period. The scenario started changing as the need of man started increasing. It was the necessity only which gave rise to such advancements. People need houses to live with their family members.

The construction of a house must be done in a sensible way either it is a smaller or larger one. The creation of a house depends upon needs and imagination. Thus we can see that renovation in the structuring of the house goes on according to the requirements.

I am living in a 1 BHK flat in Delhi, along with my family members. There are four members in my family. Since we are living in a metro city, we get small houses in large rents. We live in a small house not fitting according to the family requirements but the care and affection of family never made us realize the space. There is only one bedroom so we two children have accommodated ourselves in the living area.

We have a proper kitchen, washroom, and a small balcony too. Our house is painted and remains clean always. We do not have much space but it is enough for our small family. We have a park in front of our apartment, which provides a good view. We also have a roof and sometimes we go there for getting good air. I have a small home, but it is properly managed and I love my place.

There is a lot of problem in metro cities if a person is having a larger family. The big flats are costly and thus people are compelled to live in small areas and are more prone to health-related problems due to poor housing.

A Vision of My Dream House

I wish for my own house in the future, as we are living in a small house. I wish for my dream house to live with my parents and sisters. According to me, house should be equipped with all facilities like proper washrooms, kitchens, and airy rooms. I never dream of a big house, instead of a place which gives me the feeling of happiness and security and affinity. I am enlisting the features of my dream house.

House is the best place which renders us the feeling of love and affection along with security. It is the place where we feel most relaxed and free. I love my house and all my family members who are making it a sweet home.

I believe home is where you find peace, tranquility, joy, and most importantly were you feel safe. My home is a small place. It consists of four different rooms. I can start of by describing my kitchen. For a kitchen, it is small. It has two windows but the sun doesn't really shine through them. The stove and refrigerator are right next to each other along with the sink. I could only fit a small table of four chairs, but only use two. The other two chairs are against the wall. I have no curtains just some mini-blinds. On the ceiling there is a fan, which of course is pretty big. I like the fan because it helps keep the kitchen cool during those hot and humid summer days.

My next room of the house is the living room. My living room is a pretty decent size. I have very lovely Italian furniture.

My couches have an antique floral look with cherry oak around them. My tables are all cherry oak with marble tops along with the entertainment system. During the day, my living room is filled with light. I sincerely love lighting so I can say that's my favorite thing about this room. It has six big windows and one small one. There is also the heater, which comes out from the wall. I dislike the sound of the heater's fan when it is on. The fan sounds like people whispering during a meeting when they're supposed to keep quiet. As I sit here writing, the fan is the only thing I can hear besides the sound of cars passing through the main street of Fitchburg, which is only down at the end of this street.

The next room I will describe is my favorite room of my home.

Favorite places are unique. They provide a certain comfort that cannot be generated anywhere else. When the stress of the day has got you down, your favorite place is there for you to cheer you up. Some people choose vacation spots or restaurants as their favorite place, which can be unfortunate for them since they aren’t there that often. Favorite places can be used for many things. They help us think, we feel at peace, and they make us happy.

I would say then, that the closer your favorite place is to you, the better.

That is why, if faced to pick a place to be at the moment, I would choose my house. I believe that a reason a certain place is somebody’s favorite is that it makes them feel relaxed, and being at home is my best way to do that. When I have a long day, I love to go home and unwind. My favorite experience from this is that feeling I get from taking off my shoes after being on my feet all day.

“ Thank you so much for accepting my assignment the night before it was due. I look forward to working with you moving forward ”

At home, I can peacefully rest on my couch while watching a good TV show, which to me is my nirvana. I feel so unhooked from the struggles of day-to-day life, getting to lie in that perfect state between being awake and asleep.

My home is a place where I find myself feeling safe and loved. The interior and exterior of my house is very unique, because my dad designed it, and I am very grateful to live where I do.

As I cruise down Riverton Drive I pass by my old high school, James River. Before turning onto my street, just ahead is the entrance to Robious Landing Park where I spent a lot of my childhood memories. Winding down my peaceful street I reach my residence. As I pull into the beautiful cobblestone drive-way, I always admire the unique formation of my home.

The exterior of my house is all brick and the yard is landscaped with beautiful trees and shrubs. As I get out of my car, I routinely make my way to the back door, walking under the tangle vine arbor onto the stone patio. The patio is made for outdoor gatherings and has comfortable furniture to lounge on. It also has a large stone fireplace and a grill for barbeques. My favorite part about my backyard is our garden, where we grow fresh fruit and vegetables to eat.

Entering through the back door is the living room. The sudden aroma of my house smells of cinnamon and is always comforting. My living room consists of my dad’s favorite leather chair, a substantial love seat, a delightful cream colored couch, and a 64 inch flat screen TV. This is where my family and I like to take a load off after a long day. If I had to describe my houses theme it would be fall mainly because of its tasteful decorations and calming color scheme. All of the creams, browns, and reds make it that way.

On the wall in my living room hang October, November, and January paintings. These months stand for me, my dad, and my older sister’s birthdays. A large arch way opens up to the wine colored kitchen area, which is my favorite place in my house. The grayish granite marble tops blend very well with the wine colored walls the dark brown cabinets. Off to the side of the kitchen, large windows surrounded the kitchen table displaying the backyard.

The five step application process of the walls in the tall, two story foyer has the various colors of copper, gold, beige, purple, and cream. The staircase leading to the second floor consists of 15 stairs, and a beautiful brown banister. The second floor of my home includes four bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a laundry room. Walking down the long wide hallway, the walls are covered with oil painting made by artistic step mother. The third room on the right is my sanctuary, also known as my bedroom.

My pretty and pink bedroom is filled with warmth and peace. My queen size bed is heaven to me because it is so comfortable and it is full of decretive pillows that I have collected over several years. Above my bed hangs a dream catcher and a tie-dye tapestry, which I handcrafted myself.

I have many posters of my favorite music that take up my pink walls. I chose to paint my walls pink to match my blush down filled comforter. My bathroom is shared with my step sister, which leads to her room on the other side. It is perfect because we both have our own sinks, and multiple drawers to stock up on our toiletries.

The third floor is one of my favorite rooms in the whole house. When I was a little girl it was known as our play room, but now it is more of a party room. This is the perfect place for me and my friends to hang out. When you step foot on the khaki carpets, to your left, there is a full sized bathroom, and to your right, there is a small closet that’s stores our holiday decor. In front of you, the large spacious room includes a pool table, a ping pong table, and four beds for guests to sleep in.

My house not only symbolizes my family and me as people, but it also holds many memories. I am very lucky and internally grateful to have such a safe and nurturing place of residence and such a loving family to share it with.

We share all that we had enjoyed or suffered during the day. We keep our home clean and tidy. Every thing is kept in place. I am proud of my home Home is the place where we are born and live. It is the sweetest place in the world. When we sense danger elsewhere we find safety in our home. When there is joy, we share it with other members of our home. Everybody loves home.

My Dream House- An Essay

I always imagine how my future house will be. A home is a place surrounded by the people one loves. A house is not made beautiful by its furniture or decor, but by the people that live inside it. My dream house should be a house that I can share with my family when I grow old. I always dream of a wooden house in the hilly areas. My dream house should be the one facing a small river. Through the windows, I could see the sun setting and disappearing into the mountains. My dream house would have a small garden where I will grow my own vegetables and fruits.

The house that I fancy would be considerably big with four rooms and a spacious common area. My dream house should be comfortable for my parents, grandparents and siblings. The house should be equipped with all the modern amenities. It should have a big TV with a home theatre system and a Playstation attached to it. The walls of the house will have light colours that will make it appear bright. There will be sufficient light bulbs and lamps in every room. I also dream of a chandelier in the guest room and a big sofa where everyone will sit and enjoy watching TV together. My grandparents love reading. I wish that my dream house will have a reading space with lots of books.

I have a 3-year old pet dog called Tiger. I also want to have a small yet cosy space in my house for Tiger where he can sleep and relax when he grows old. The house will have beautiful interiors and will have all the facilities like a modern kitchen, three bathrooms, a staircase leading to the terrace, ACs, etc. My dream home should be the one where we all can live happily and comfortably.
