Hurt/Comfort OTP Prompts

🌺 Person A is pretty sick and running a high fever. They’re exhausted, slightly delirious, and groaning softly in pain. Person B sits by their side, pressing a cold cloth to their head, lightly running their fingers through Person A’s sweaty hair, and quietly whispering small words of comfort and reassurance.

🌺 Person B jolts awake from a nightmare, breathing heavily and in a cold sweat. Person B’s sudden movements wake Person A who immediately recognizes what’s happening. They softly grab Person B’s arm and bring them into an embrace—hugging them tightly. As person B regains a steady breath, they relax more into Person A who is still holding them and running their thumb up and down in a soothing manner.

🌺 Person A has just received bad news/is feeling extremely overwhelmed/is struggling in some way and they break down in tears. Person B hears their soft cries and follows the source of the sound only to find Person A sobbing weakly. They cautiously approach, unsure of what to say, however as soon as Person A takes one look at them, they dive into Person B’s arms and continue to sob. Person B just wraps their arms around them and lets them cry. (bonus if they’re not together yet but Person B places a soft kiss on person A’s head without thinking).

🌺Person A is exhausted and littered in bruises and painful little injuries (from a battle, fight, accident, etc. is up to you). In concern, Person B insists on taking care of and bandaging up the little wounds which Person A dismisses. Not wanting to push Person A, Person B begins placing small kisses on each wound. The tender love of this action makes Person A’s eyes start to water as they fight back tears.

🌺 Person A and B have both been struggling (with a major loss, bad news, etc. is up to you). One night, Person A is crying softly, trying not to wake Person B. However Person B turns over and wraps their arms around Person A, revealing that they too have been crying. The pair just hold each other and cry softly, neither of them judging or saying a word. In the morning, they wake up, still clinging to each other with tear stained cheeks.

OTP is so perfect and meant to be that it’s impossible to imagine anything else. But what happens when you’re tasked with writing angst about such a relationship? Here are 10 ideas to get you started.

1. One of the characters keeps a secret from the other, which could ruin the relationship.

2. One of the characters is struggling with a debilitating illness or injury that causes them to doubt the worthiness of the other’s love.

3. One of the characters is temptation personified, and the other knows they’re not strong enough to resist.

4. One of the characters has been betrayed by someone they thought they could trust, causing them to question whether they can trust their OTP.

5. One of the characters is dealing with PTSD, and flashback memories are preventing them from being able to open up to the other fully.

There are a lot of factors that go into making a successful story. The plot has to be engaging, the setting has to be well-developed, and the characters have to be compelling. This is especially true when it comes to developing a strong OTP.

The Chemistry Has to Be Right

One of the first things you’ll notice about successful on-screen couples is that there’s always palpable chemistry between them. This isn’t something that can be forced; either the actors have it, or they don’t.

The Journey Is More Important Than the Destination

Another important thing to remember when creating an OTP is that the journey is more important than the destination. Yes, your characters need to end up together ultimately, but the events leading up to their relationship will keep audiences engaged.

Not just the fabric’s texture, but every little detail.

Should I just add a picture and then call it a day?

Should I get a better understanding of what exactly are those neckline, fabric, color, ombré, etc.?

This is a struggle I have on describing hairstyles too. If I say “short brown hair” how the reader envisions it might be completely different from what I imagined. And it doesn’t help that I don’t know anything about art and therefore can’t put my imagination down on paper/screen.

Person B is reeaaaaaally tired, but Person A is super, super energetic and loud. Trying to get Person A to shut up, Person B kisses Person A. Person A has become a health food nut and this is driving person B absolutely crazy. Imagine your OTP exchanging gifts for the first time during the holidays, maybe both a little nervous that the other won’t like their gift. It turns out that neither has any reason to be anxious; both love the other’s gift and kisses are exchanged along with each present. How to watch the AMAs

As you all probably know, Impera is nominated for Favorite Rock Album at this year’s American Music Awards. Ghost is almost sure to win and Tobias just happens to be in LA for the occassion, so if you want to catch him on the small screen, here are a some ways to do it.

The show will air live on ABC at 8pm ET tomorrow, Nov. 20 . You can use this timezone converter to see what time that will be for you.

If you’re in the US, you may be able to watch it on TV. If not, then try Hulu, YouTube TV, fuboTV or Vidgo - they all stream ABC and offer free trials, if you’re not already subscribed.
